Invasive Species Management in BC
WhiteStar provides full-service invasive plant control across Surrey and the Lower Mainland. We focus on safe, effective removal methods, including manual brush clearing and native plant reintroduction. Our practices are based on the Invasive Species Council of BC’s Best Practices to reduce environmental impact and prevent regrowth.

Knotweed Removal – Certified Applicators
At Whitestar we have certified pesticide applicators on our enviro crews that know how to treat and dispose of knotweed. We offer foliar spraying for larger treatable areas and stem injection for targeted treatment closer to watercourses and smaller infestations.
Japanese Knotweed is among the most aggressive invasive species in BC, threatening infrastructure and ecosystems. Our licensed professionals follow the BC Ministry of Agriculture’s guidelines on knotweed control for safe and compliant herbicide application.
Knotweed is very invasive and should be managed and treated properly to minimize chances of spread and re-occurrence.
Erosion & Sediment Control for Urban Projects
We implement erosion control systems including silt fencing, hydroseeding, and drainage containment. All services follow the BC ESC Guidelines, protecting construction zones from soil and water loss.
